Hi, I'm Alexandria.

I never set out to start a refillery.

Like many parents, I simply wanted to create a healthier home for my daughter and myself. Over the years, I've navigated my own health challenges and spent countless hours researching ingredients, household products, food, plastics, and the things we bring into our homes every day. The deeper I looked, the more I realized how difficult it was to find products that were effective, affordable, and aligned with the lifestyle I wanted for my family.

It often felt like there were only two options: inexpensive products filled with ingredients I couldn't pronounce, or healthier alternatives that were difficult to find and came with a much higher price tag. On top of that, I became increasingly aware of how much single-use plastic and unnecessary packaging accumulated in our home.

I knew I wasn't the only person facing these frustrations.

What began as a personal journey to reduce waste and make more intentional choices slowly grew into something bigger. I started learning about refill systems, sustainable products, ingredient transparency, and traditional approaches to caring for our homes. I discovered that many everyday essentials don't need to come wrapped in layers of plastic or contain unnecessary additives to work well.

From those discoveries, Open Market Co. was born.

My vision is simple: to create a place where families can find products they feel good about bringing into their homes. A place where you can refill what you need, reduce waste, save money, and shop with confidence. A place that makes intentional living feel approachable rather than overwhelming.

While we're beginning with refillable household products and home essentials, this is only the first chapter. My long-term dream is to grow Open Market Co. into a modern pantry and community market featuring bulk herbs, teas, spices, grains, pantry staples, seasonal produce, and local makers. I envision a space where people can discover new products, support local businesses, learn new skills, and reconnect with the simple joy of knowing where their products come from.

At its heart, Open Market Co. is about more than refills.

It's about creating a healthier home, reducing unnecessary waste, supporting our community, and making thoughtful choices one small step at a time.
